  • Serving as a Corporate Trustee

As trustee or co-trustee, we ensure that the client’s wishes are carried in accordance with their governing documents.  We handle activities such as managing investments, paying bills, safekeeping assets and documents, record keeping for tax, distributing assets and communication with interested parties.

  • Probate and Estate Settlement Services

Carrying out estate plans that meet legal and tax requirements can be challenging. From managing assets and cash flow to preparing estate and income tax returns, Central Pacific Bank’s Trust department approaches estate and trust administration following a death with diligence and sensitivity.

Whether we act as your executor, personal representative, trustee or agent, Central Pacific Bank works with you and your advisors to address the legal, tax and administrative considerations of settling an estate and transferring wealth.

  • Special Needs Trusts

Central Pacific Bank provides thoughtful, skilled, and high touch special needs trust administration to special needs beneficiaries, their families and associated professionals. Because each beneficiary has unique needs, we work as a team with our beneficiaries and their families to enhance quality of life with thoughtful consideration given to benefits received.

  • Directed Trusts

Directed trusts are a type of trust that allows the creator of the trust to separate responsibility for the management of some or all of the assets from the trustee. Often, individuals may have a unique asset or situation that they want a specific advisor or relative to manage, such as shares of a family business. In these situations, they can allocate those assets to an advisor in a directed trust while leaving the other responsibilities to the trustee.

“I always hoped Island Snow could have a next generation.”

- James Kodama, Founder, Island Snow

We started Island Snow in 1979. Our boys grew up working in the stores. We expanded the store... and added another. Meanwhile the boys were looking for financing to buy their own homes.

We all got together, and CPB made it happen. They were so great to work with, we’ve since moved all our business to CPB. For the boys, these relationships [with CPB] are going to be very helpful in the future.
